Now if you like to write this may be the best way for your to create content.  The best thing about creating your own content for your site is that you can write articles and posts using your own opinions and thoughts.  You use your own voice and your reader really appreciates your opinion.

You can write content by being funny or sweet or straight to the point…it’s really up to you.  Over time your reader will recognize your voice and respect your opinion.

If you read the post on creating relationships with your subscribers for your autoresponder…this is the same principle as that.  We are training them to recognize your voice.  Click here to read that post if you missed it.

In the next post I will talk about using PLR material to create your content.

To have success as an Affiliate Marketer you need to have good conversion rate for the products you are promoting.  The average marketer converts only .5 to 1% of the visitors to their site into customers.  That’s pretty discouraging!

Now to get better results you need to provide your readers with some really good content.  This can be articles and research.  You can even purchase the product, try it and write an honest review of the product. When you purchase the products this is also a business write off.  Your readers and customers will really appreciate your opinions and research.  They will trust you as you look like a “crap filter“, saving them from buying bad and useless products.  As you write your reviews you can insert your affiliate links so your readers can purchase the products you are reviewing.

Now the secret is great content and a lot of it.  Don’t worry…if your not a writer there are several ways to get great content.

  1. Create your own content
  2. Buy PLR (Private Label Rights) content
  3. Search public domain (copyright free) content
  4. Hire a ghostwriter
  5. Use other author’s content
  6. Re-tool your content

In the follow up post I will talk about each tactic to create your content.

To your succes,

Here is the final part of the series for writing your email follow up messages….Finally!

Now that you have started the relationship and warmed up your list by showing them some good quality information you can start adding emails that sell products directly to your list.  These emails will follow the same outline as your other emails but with a sales pitch.  Now with the direct sales email you are going to want a longer email that explains and highlights all of the benefits of purchasing your product.  You will also want to try and address any objections or concerns your customers may have in the email before they have an opportunity to even think about them.

Now when adding these direct sales emails to your follow up messages, keep the sales funnel theory on mind.  You will want to start with the lower priced products and work your way up through the products your are promoting to finish with the most expensive.  If you have many products you want to sell to your list youe should break up the direct Sell with some other free gifts and free to join sites or some other good content so your subscriber don’t just feel like they are being used.

Tip 1:  When promoting new launch products you may want to write an honest product review on your blog and then send your subscribers an email to read the review (remember the training phase…still continuing here).  Then add some follow up emails sending readers to your reviews.  You them look like a filter system for your readers…only sending them good prodict reviews and keeping bad products away.

Tip 2:  When deciding on products to sell to your list think about promoting products with recurring commissions.  This way your get paid over and over again for only selling the product once.

Ok…now that you have the general idea of writing you follow up series let keep going and put it all together.

When it comes to getting the most out of an online affiliate marketing program, then you need to know the four main secrets to maximizing your potential. Remember, this does not mean working harder, it means working smarter. When you know these secrets, you will be able to do a great deal more and achieve a lot more without having to spend more time, effort and money on the process than you were to begin with.

These four secrets are as follows:

1 – Choose a Good Quality Product – this means that you shouldn’t just pick your affiliate program based on the kind of commissions it offers (though that should indeed be a part of the consideration). You need to become familiar with your product and make sure that you will be marketing something that will allow you to maintain a good reputation with your target audience. Pick a product or niche that you are familiar with or are interested in. This way you will stay motivated and can pass along your own opinions to your visitors create a goo relationship. A good product will earn you a lot of money.

2 – Select a Product With a Strong History – you need to be able to gauge the success of your product if you want to market it properly. Therefore, you need to know that product’s history. Who was a part of its development? Have there been problems selling it in the past? Is it a newer version of a product that is already doing spectacularly well?

3 – Opt for a Program With a Strong Support System – no matter your product or program, you need to make sure that the merchant behind the program will support you throughout your efforts. If the company is not willing to provide you with assistance and options, such as graphic ads and banners, then you may want to look elsewhere.

4 – Stay Focused On Your End Goal – There is a lot of information available on affiliate marketing and this can be overwhelming. It is very easy for new affiliates to lose focus and become distracted by all of the information with no value to their new business. By not signing up for all of the mailing lists and offers available and staying with one reputable mentor or program to learn from you will be miles ahead of the competition.

Here is part 3 of How To Write Your Follow Up Email series.  In this post we are move on to writing the next email were we will start to build the relationship with your subscribers.  In this email we are going to give away a bonus or “freebie”  just for becoming your subscriber.  This could be an ebook, video or software.  In the last email we hinted to our subscribers that they will be receiving great information and resources, so people will be looking for great follow ups and resources.  These resources are the “freebies” we are going to give them.  This give you a great opportunity to be in your subscribers Inbox again and look like a generous person that they will want to hear from again and again.

Let’s move on to how your email might sound… Here is an example email.

Subject:  Here’s Is A Fr.ee Gift {!firstname_fix}…

Hi {!firstname_fix},

I hope you enjoyed “NAME OF FREE GIFT FROM ORIGINAL EMAIL” that I sent you the other day. You can definitely see the benefits from this.(Add benefits to subscriber)

I would like to tell you a little bit about my self.

(Go on to tell the subscriber some basic information and link to your niche)

Over the coming weeks I am going to send you a series of emails where I will recommend resources and pass along some great information and tools….(Link to your niche)

I will also teach you how to use these tools so that you can get the full advantage to using them…and most importantly why you need to use them.  I am looking forward to working with you so that you can achieve all you want…(relate to your niche)

And now here is the Fr.ee Gift…It’s a great ebook called “INsERT TITLE”.

You can download it here:  => DOWNLOAD “INSERT TITLE HERE”

Thanks again {!firstname_fix}, enjoy your fr.ee gift.  I’ll be in touch with your soon with some hot resources for you!

Have a great day,

Your Name Here

Your Web Site Here

P.S.  (Add a P.S. to your emails with a free membership link or resource)

Now there are several things that I am trying to do with this email.

  1. Tell the subscriber about the free gift I am giving them.  The secret here is to not give the link to them right away…you want them to read through the email before leaving to get the gift.
  2. Tell them about myself.  This make the subscriber feel like they are getting to know you and build the relationship with you.
  3. Again we tell them a little of what to expect from you over the next series of emails.  We told them that we are going to email them on a regular basis and that I am going to recommend products to them.
  4. We told them we are going to teach them how to use the resources we recommend and why they need to use them.
  5. The P.S. is used at the end to “soft sell” them on something.  This is to train them to expect it in the emails and it a another chance to monetize our email series.

Hopefully your subscribers enjoyed this email and the free gift you gave to them.  They will fell better listening to your opinions and reccomendations because you have started a relationship with them by telling them about yourself.  And hopefully they are looking forward to your next emails.

Ok…so now go and add this to your autoresponder and I will post the next email in my next post….

Here’s To Your Success!

Welcome to the part two of writing your follow up email series.  Many people often ask how many emails should you have in their follow up series.  Well, there is no easy answer to this questions.  It is going to depend on your marketing strategy but, a good rule of thumb is to have at least 8 emails in your autoresponder.  The more you have lined up the more hands off your business will run putting your business on autopilot.

Now you want to set up your follow up series like a traditional sales funnel.  Start by using free gifts, reports, etc to keep them excited and on your list.  Then move on to offering some low cost products or memberships and eventually moving on to higher priced products.  Be sure to set up the entire sales funnel in your follow up series.

Now, on to writing the emails…

Step 1: Your Welcome Email

With this first email you want to accompliash a few things.

  1. Give them the downlad link again to ensure they get thier free gift just in case they missed it previously
  2. You will want to make another offer to them.  This is the start of your training phase to your subscribers.  People who just signed up for your list are your hottest prospects to make sales too.  They are interested in your niche and what you have to say.
  3. Lastly you will want to give them a taste of what is to come.  This will keep them interested and curious as to what you have in store for them.  They will anticipate your next email.

So here is an example welcome email…

Subject Line:  Thanks You {!firstname_fix}, Here Is Your Download Link

Hi {!firstname_fix},

Thanks for requesting “NAME OF FREE GIFT HERE”.  Here’s your download link again incase you missed it on the confirmation page.

=> Download FREE GIFT HERE

And if you haven’t already you should head over to XXXXX and sign up for your free membership.  It is one of my favorite sites.

=> INSERT LINK HERE

Thanks again {!firstname_fix}.  I will be in touch shortly with some more great information and resources for you.

Have a great day!

Your Name Here

Your Web Site Here

That’s it for this post.  This should keep you busy for a while.  I will post the next step of creating your follow up series in the next couple of days.

By now we should have your domain name selected, hosting account set up and your autoresponder and web form all ready to go.  Now all we have to do is add some emails to send to your mailing list.

Your email follow up series is the bread and butter of your internet marketing business.  You will get many of your sales and commissions from the customers you have subscribed to your list.

In this post I am going to take you through the steps of setting up your profitable follow up email series.

Topic 1 ~ Train You Subscribers

The main purpose of your emails is of course to make sales but also to train your subscribers to perform the task you want them to.  For example is you may want your subscribers to click on a link or watch a promotional video.

If you want your subscribers to click on your affiliate links you are going to want to insert a clickable link in most, if not all of your emails.  Even of you are delivering informative content to them you can put it into a report format and have them click on a link to download the report.  If people always anticipate they have to click a link anytime they receive an email from you they will get used to it and it will increase your conversion rate.

Also, tell them what you want them to do in your email.  Tell them to click on the link or to watch the video.  When you you use this method properly you will see an increase in your conversions.  Keep in mind that you do not want to promote more than one product or ask for more than one action in a single email to your subscribers.  Your email should focus on one thing.

When outlining to your sibscribers what actions they need to perform don’t be affraid to shoe them the way…mark each step.  Step 1…Step 2…etc.

Here’s The Pitch ~ Train your subscribers to expect it.  Delivering good informative content to your subscribers is important but you are also trying to make money.  Deliver some sort of pitch in every email so that your subscribers expect it from you.  If you are giving great content to your list and all of a sudden you send them a sales pitch they will not respond in a positive manner.  You will not see the conversion you want and you may also have an increase in people unsubscribing from your list.

Writing good free content is great but if you don’t include the pitch every time your have trained your list members to not expect it and you will lose their trust.

Topic 2 ~ Mailing Your List

Now you will need to determine how often you will be mailing to your list.  There is no magic number.  You will want to be consistant in your mailings so that your list expects it from you (back to the training again).  If you mail to your list monthly and then they start receiving weekly emails you may annoy your list and see them leave your list.  Determine your mailing schedule and stick to it.  I would suggest emailing your subscribers at least once per week.  There will be times when there are more emails in the week as special promotions come up and you want to ensure your list has every opportunity to take advantage.

You will build a relationship with your list.  They will begin to like and trust you.  So, keep your emails consistant in the style you are delivering your message.  As your readers start to trust you, selling to them will become easier.

So that’s it for now….In the next post we will talk about how to actually write your follow up series.

Here’s to your success!

Now that yoy have chosen and registered your domain name is is time to get your business online.  You will now need to get your hosting set up so that your domain and website are live on the internet for all to see.

If you think about your domain name as if you have purchased a house.  Once you have your house you need property to put that house on.  Think of your hosting account as your property that the house will sit on.

The web host will store all your files and web pages on a server so that others o the internet can access your website.  Choosing a web host is very important to your business.  You will want a reliable web host that provides good service and support when your need it.  Making that decsion can be very confusing so here are some things to consider when choosing your web host.

1. Do they offer good technical support – Very important to have good and fast technical support.  24 hour service is best

2. What is their server up time – Most reputable web host have server up times over 99%.  When their servers are down…so is your website!

3. Do they offer cPanel service – cPanel is a back end interface which makes life easy when using your web host and making changes to your site. Look for web host who offer Fantastico.  Fastastico can install software within a couple of clicks….This is FANTASTIC!

Here are some webhosts that I reccommend:

Host Gator – Offers cPanel hosting at good prices.  They provide 24/7 support and 99.9% up time guarantee.

MWD Hosting – Offers cPanel hosting with Fantastico and good prices. (Canadian Pricing).  24/7 support

Hope this helps when choosing you web host.

To Your Success,

Trevor
