Well its a new week so I thought I would start off with some great affiliate marketing information.  I want to talk about squeeze pages and how you can use them to maximize your business.  I will show you how to create a squeeze page and monetize it to maximize conversions.

The purpose of your squeeze pages is primarily to create a list to which we will make into customers.  They say the “Money Is In The List“… and they are RIGHT!

So lets get started…

Tools Of The Trade

There are 2 essential tools that you will need in order to create and monetize your squeeze pages.  Without these it will be next to impossible to start building your list.

1. The first tool you will need is a good Autoresponder.  This IS the most important tool you will have in your shed!  This will enable you to capture all of your subscribers contact information.  Your autoresponder and mailing list will account for 85-90% of your online sales.  I recommend you use Aweber as your autoresponder.  They provide hands down the best service and options for your business.  I use Aweber for my autoresponder and am very satisfied with their service.

2. If you do not already have a hosting account you will need a place to host your squeeze pages.  I recommend MWD Hosting.  They have great service, reasonable pricing and GREAT service.  James is fast when responding to any support questions.

Why would someone sign up on my squeeze page?

That’s a good question.  You will need to have a good incentive for someone to sign up for your list.  Most people look for a free gift of some sort on a specific topic.  Therefore you will need to have a promotional item for your visitors that will HOOK them into wanting more from you.  This can be a free ebook, report, video, interview, etc. that would have some sort of perceived value to your visitors.

Your squeeze page and incentive will need to attract people that are interested in the topic your are writing about.  Within the HotProfitAffiliates.com member area we have created some ebooks to help our affiliates with promoting their affiliate links.  These reports are re-brandable and are designed for affiliates to give away to generate sales using their affiliate links.  Having hundreds of these ebooks floating around with your links  is a potential for sales as others pass on these books as well.

3. If You Build It They Will Come ~ Now that you have created and online presence you will need to start adding content to your site to attract visitor.  Content is KING!  You will create content by writing it yourself, buy existing content (PLR) or have someone create it for you (outsource).

4. Monetize Your Site ~ Next you will want to find some merchants and affiliates programs to join.  Select some products and write reviews for them.

5. Market Your Site ~ We now want to drive some traffic to your site to create the profits.  There are many methods to drive traffic to your site.  Adwords is one way to drive traffic.

6. Manage ~ You will need to manage your business from day to day.  Create schedules and task lists to ensure everything gets done on time.

7. Take Your Business To The Next Level ~ As your business grows you will want to learn new tricks and tactics to increase conversion rates and commissions.

As you grow with your business you will repeat these basic steps over and over again.

Affiliate marketing is essentially a commission based incentive program where “affiliates” are paid for actions of their customers through an affiliate program.

The affiliate program is the gateway between the merchants and their affiliates allowing the affiliates to promote the merchants products or services.  In return the affiliates are paid a commission for their efforts.  Affiliate program are called many different names throughout the industry but they all provide the same thing…a way to make money!

There are several types of affiliate programs requiring different customer actions.  Here are a few examples:

1. PPS (Pay Per Sale) ~ This type of program requires the affiliate to successfully promote a product and create a sale to earn their commission.  Usually this is a fixed rate  or percentage of the total sale amount.

2. PPL (Pay Per Lead) ~ Also reffered to as Pay Per Action or Pay Per Signup, these programs pay an affiliate whenever a site visitor provides their contact information which then creates a “lead” for the merchant.

3. PPC (Pay Per Click) ~ Pay Per Click programs usually offer a fixed rate for each time a visitor clicks on one of your affiliate links and is then sent to the merchants site.

4. Pay Per Call ~ This program is very similar to the Pay Per Lead and Pay Per Click programs but instead the affiliate is gathering contact information for the merchants which will allow the merchant to call the potential customer.
